Grant

Allocations:
Deadlines for applications: 15 May 30 November Applications received after the deadline as well as applications for previous and ongoing trips will not be considered. Grant committee The HVB Board of Directors sets up a grant committee to handle the applications received. The committee has the authority to allocate travel grants within the framework set up by the Board of Directors. The committee consists of three members: The Chairman of the Board of Directors is a born member of the grant committee. The other two members are appointed among the members of the Board of Directors. Grant receivers The travel grants are given to individuals, who are students at the Aarhus Business School and can only be given to the stays and aims stated in the application. Criteria for grants to receivers Applications for support to free-movers will always have first priority. The grant committee can decide to divide the available grant funds in three groups, and then make priorities and allocations within each group. Applicants without any previous long-term stays abroad have priority over other applicants. Applicants who have previously attended summer schools (with or without HVB grants) are at the end of the line only in connection with allocations of summer school grants. The grant committee can decide to distribute grants by drawing lots between qualified applicants within each group, but can also make individual priorities. In such case, the length of the stay, the financial costs, originality or the extent of initiative in connection with the planned stay can be emphasized. Examination results for already obtained examinations are not taken into account. |

Purpose of the stay
A. Free-mover stays A free-mover stay is defined as situations when the student himself or herself plans and pays for one or more courses at a university or corresponding university-level school abroad. It is a precondition that ECTS-points can be obtained. Students participating in an exchange stay arranged through ASB’s exchange agreements are not free-movers. B. Participation in summer schools Summer schools are defined as all stays abroad taking place at universities or corresponding university-level schools in the summer period. It is a precondition that examinations are passed in the subjects taken during the stay. Support can be granted to participants in the summer schools arranged by ASB and taking place in Denmark. C. Stays abroad in connection with Master’s theses On the basis of a specific evaluation, support can be granted to stays abroad in connection with thesis preparation. It is a precondition that the applicant can explain exactly what the importance of the stay means for the thesis under preparation and that there is a description, firstly of the planned contents of the thesis, secondly of the more specific nature of the stay abroad. Other matters Support for stays which include paid employment in companies cannot be granted. No support is given for “inspirational stays”. Grant form |
